Rio Barko has one of our very best river-front locations. On 1.5 forested acres with 400' of river frontage, including a wonderful private beach, Rio Barko has spectacular river views, a big lawn, paths for walking through the adjoining forest, and a very large fenced yard--a rarity on the river. This is a very private, very serene, very beautiful setting and the cabin itself is updated and remodeled with great charm.

Rio Barko is nearly level-in and the lower grounds are accessible to wheelchairs. The home has two bedrooms, one with a California king bed, the other with a queen, and a bath with combination tub/shower. The living room has a fireplace with insert and opens to a sunroom overlooking the river. A dog door allows the pups to access the fenced yard and the outdoor area includes a hot tub, patio dining, gas grill, and a porch swing with awning. For boating, there is a canoe and two single kayaks. Two folding canvas chairs plus umbrella allow for complete relaxation on the beach.

This cabin's living and dining areas are set up for four people, but one or two additional small children are permitted since there is a futon in the living room. There is an additional charge of $15 per night; please advise at time of booking.

Note: Five neighboring houses have an easement to use the path to the river access. Their use is infrequent, but guests may encounter neighbors on the path or beach.

Payment Policies

PAYMENTS BY CHECK:
If you are paying by check, we allow you five days to return the signed contract with your payment. If there is sufficient time, you pay 60% of the rent now and the remaining 40% plus tax, cleaning and damage waiver 30 days before your arrival date.

PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD:
We accept Master Card and Visa. If you are paying by credit card, you must fax back your signed credit card authorization and the pages of the contract requiring a signature as soon as you've had a chance to review the contract. Generally we expect it the same day. We will charge the entire balance at once. If the booking is to occur within ten days we will require credit card authorization by telephone and the charge will be run that same day.

Once you book a house, that house is off the market to anyone else. Therefore, all payments for bookings are non-refundable unless we re-book the house, in which case there is a $50 cancellation fee. Although we generally do re-book given a reasonable amount of time, there is no guarantee that we will. Full refunds are available if flood warnings affecting your rental are posted within 3 days of arrival date. If prior to or upon your arrival, your house is not available due to any condition or problem beyond our control, we will move you to a reasonably comparable house, providing one is available.
