Whether your pleasure is wine tasting, playing golf, hiking, or simply relaxing on your honeymoon, the Hawk's Nest offers all this and much more. It is just a short drive to Carmel Valley Village, where you can enjoy world-class dining at Bernardus Lodge and experience our Valley???s superb wines at least eight different tasting rooms. In the opposite direction, it is a short drive to Carmel-By-the-Sea, offering unique shopping and the white sands of Carmel Beach.
The property is equipped for your entertainment with TV, DVD, VCR, and stereo. There is a wood burning stove in the living room and a wood burning stove in the master bath. In addition to the warmth generated by the stoves, the house is heated by natural gas with central forced air. This property has light-colored carpet in the living room, dining room and all of the bedrooms. A washer and electric dryer are on the premises for your convenience.
The maximum number of guests (including children) who may be accommodated at this property is 8. All four bedrooms are on the street level. The master bedroom has a California king size bed and private bath, featuring a sunken spa tub/ shower with a wood-burning stove nearby. The bathroom has slate floors. Just outside the French doors of the master bath is a private, outdoor shower on the deck that is surrounded by nature's beauty. The master bedroom and bath both offer great views of the hillside from large picture windows. The hiking trail begins just outside the master bedroom. Two of the guest rooms have queen size beds and one has a custom twin size bed. The guest bath features a dual-head tiled shower.
The Hawk's Nest is surrounded by views of the valley hills and offers a hiking trail with decks and hammocks. There are great spots along the trail for picnics and relaxing in one of two hammocks while reading a book and enjoying the fresh air and the wonderful aroma of pine and redwood trees. The trail is lighted, making it perfect for an evening hike with your final destination a large deck, perfect for star gazing. The view from this deck will leave you breathless as you look over the valley and onto the hillsides. Still another deck is built into a cove of redwood trees and is totally private.
The interior of the property is spectacular with an open floor plan and large picture windows and patio doors making up two of the walls. The views can be enjoyed from every room! The deck is accessed from the living and dining room, and two of the bedrooms. It is situated perfectly, overlooking the valley floor, and has great patio furniture, a fire pit and barbeque.
There is seating for 10 at the dining table and seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. You???ll enjoy your meals in this picturesque setting. The kitchen has a slate floor and slate countertops. It is equipped with a stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, and microwave. Each home is fully furnished and equipped with cookware, dinnerware, and kitchen linen. Beds have mattress pads, sheets, pillows and pillow cases, blankets and bed spreads or comforters. There are at least one bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth per person plus some extras. There will be enough soap and paper products to get you started comfortably . It is the philosophy of Monterey Bay Property Management that you should need to bring nothing with you except your clothes and your groceries when you are a guest in our vacation rental homes.
Rental Rates
$4500 - $7000/wk
Monthly rates include local phone service, cable TV, water, trash collection, and all related taxes, fees and move-out housekeeping. Monthly rates do not include gas and electricity.
