Location: St. Moritz #12 Dates: 1/14/05 to 1/17/05 Rating: POOR
Problem: Leaking Toilet – Area: Second Floor Bathroom
Description: Unable to use upstairs toilet. Water leaked and flooded the entire bathroom and dripped into the downstairs bathroom.
Actions of remedy: Turned off water supply to toilet. No emergency numbers posted in the unit. Tried to locate personnel staff at the reservation office, but it was closed for the weekend. Problem was finally reported on check out date at the reservation office when we returned the keys.
Problem: Unsafe bunk beds – Area: Loft
Description: The bunk beds are old, and unstable. The top beds on both bunk swayed loosely with any slight movements. We felt that the beds would collapsed we put any weight or pressure to them.
Actions for remedy: We put our children to sleep on the floor to ease our fear of the beds falling apart.
Problem: Substandard beds – Area: Bedrooms 1 and 2
Description: Both queen beds in the bedrooms are too old. As we slept, we felt every pressing spring on our body from the mattress. The mattress was so old; we were nearly trapped by the deep indentation in the middle. It took great effort to roll out of bed. Needless to say, the mattress also made squeaks and crackle noise as moved in our sleep.
Actions for remedy: Slept on the floor on the second and third night of our stay.
Problem: Telephone – Area: Kitchen/Dinning
Description: No dial tone. Not operational. No apparent instructions for telephone usage.
Actions for remedy: Used our own cell phone for all communication needs.
Recommendation for improvement of services:
-Bring facilities up to standard living code.
-Post emergency information inside the unit at a clear and visible location
-Provide a handbook of basic instructions related to the unit
-Provide a directory of contacts relevant to the facility.

I've stayed at this property before and was disappointed with this visit because the unit was in need of repairs that were not resolved by the time we left. The telephone line did not work most of the time. The upstairs toilet was not operational. One of the heaters in the living room was not working. The decor was outdated. And the pillows were pancake flat. Other than that, I like the location of St. Mortiz. It's close to the shuttle stops. If I had to stay at this property again, I'd return to unit 13.
